Dr. Dimitris Kouis received his Diploma in Computer Engineering and Informatics from University of Patras and his Ph.D. from National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) in 1994 and 2004 respectively. Currently he is an assistant professor at the Archival, Library and Information Studies at the University of West Attica, Greece.
His scientific interests include library service platforms, scientific digital publishing, learning management systems, open educational resources, scholarly communication, research assessment methods, cultural digital content management, metadata standards, digital libraries etc.
In the past he has been involved in several European and national RD projects in the fields of Information Technology (ESPRIT, RACE II, ACTS, IST, FP6, FP7) and served as the technical coordinator for various projects for the Hellenic Academic Libraries Link, from 2004 up to 2016.
